Have you hit a brick wall in your Swedish research or do you want to know where to begin? The Oakland FamilySearch Library will be hosting a day of Swedish research classes and individual consultations.
The one-day seminar will feature:
- Anna-Lena Hultman, expert on emigration research who helped develop the Emibas CD
- Anneli Andersson from the Mellerud Museum and Genealogy Archive
- Charlotte Börjesson, board member with the Computer Genealogy Society of Sweden (DIS)
- Kathy Meade - North American representative for ArkivDigital
There is no fee for the seminar but tickets are required. Email the library with your request and use the subject line: SwedGen. Space permitting, walk-ins may be allowed after 9:20 a.m.
There are a limited number of one-on-one, thirty minute consultations available by appointment only. Fill out the online research query form before September 1, 2013. Be sure to indicate that you will be attending at the Oakland, CA site.
